The Ups and Downs of 2018 and Springtime activity
As an export and service economy, Australia is dependant upon a prosperous global economy. In this months newsletter we have provided a snapshot below of the things to look out for in 2018.
Also included is the latest market update for the September quarter and with recent volatility, the importance of diversification is proven.
A surge in tech shares pushed the U.S benchmark indexes back into positive territory in the wake of Wednesday's rout that had wiped out this years gains. Yields in Treasuries rose and the dollar strengthened to the highest level this year. The S&P 500 index finished higher for the first time in 7 days, propelled by strong earnings results from Twitter, Microsoft and Tesla.
On a health and fitness note, now that it's Spring time and the weather is improving, some outdoor activity is on the agenda for many. Just a 30 minute walk a day can improve overall effectiveness as highlighted in the article we have included below.
Enjoy the sunshine and give me a call if you have any questions.
Regards,
Charmaine
